WHY CORN?
Corn has a large surface area, so when a corn bag is filled, the added weight it provides helps penetrate those hard to reach pained areas. It also provides a moist heat and freezes well.
WILL THE CORN POP IN THE MICROWAVE?
The corn we use is re-washed whole corn. It is not the same as corn used for popcorn. Occasionally you may have a kernel pop, but this is normal.
Just remove the corn bag, mix or adjust ingredients and return to microwave for desired warmth

Heating Instructions:
Take the outer plastic bag that it arrived in OFF, before placing in microwave.
Small Bags: Heat in 30-second increments up to 2 minutes.
Large Bags: Heat approximately 2-3 minutes
Do not overheat your corn bag. This will avoid hot spots/ scorched smell and will prolong the life of your corn bag. Heat in 30-second intervals, adjust or mix the contents of the bag, then return to heating.
Heating times are approximate since microwave oven temperatures will vary. If not sure, start your heating at 30-second intervals, to get a better idea of your own microwave.
While heating in a microwave, do not let corn bag come in contact with microwave walls. Lay corn bag flat. During the heating time, remove the bag, and mix/adjust ingredients. For a moister heat, place a microwave-safe cup of water along with their bag before heating. Do not let your ingredients get wet.
Following all heating instructions is important, that way it can last for years.
Cooling Instructions: Store in freezer in a freezer ziplock bag. Use as needed for an ice pack.
